Housekeeping

• Morning Entry: Our relaxed entry begins each morning at 7:45. It is getting colder in the mornings. Please, if your children are arriving early, encourage them to dress for the weather.
• Morning drop off: please do not use the staff parking lot to drop your children off in the morning. It creates safety issues with children getting off of busses, and traffic issues for busses that are trying to drop children off. Rather, park on the opposite (west) site of 6th street and have your children safely use the crosswalk to get to school.
• Lunch: Please, if you send your child with a meal that required cutlery (fork, spoon), also send them with the required cutlery.

School Council

Our Next School council meeting will be held this Tuesday, October 10 at 6:30 PM. It will be an online meeting that all CMAC families are welcome to attend. If you would like to hear updates about your child’s school, and join our Friends of Colonel Macleod parent society to make important funding decisions for our school, please join us using this link. 

Fun Lunch

We are bringing back fun lunch! For those who would like to order, it is up and running on the Healthy Hunger website.

Sports Teams

Soccer and Basketball are all up and running. Thank you to all students who tried out, and thank you to those who made the team for committing to the responsibility that comes with representing our school.

If your child is playing on a sports team, please pick them up right at the end of their games and practices. Our teachers generously volunteer their time, and like the kids, are tired by the end of the day. If they cannot be picked up on time, they will not be allowed to participate.

To participate in games and practices, students must be present for the duration of the school day, as per Calgary Middle Level Schools Amateur Athletics rules.
